ORIGINARY ARTS // WHO WE ARE

Originary Arts is a cultural events company based in Brighton, creating playful and participatory arts opportunities across the UK and beyond. Originary dreams up ideas and transforms them into opportunities for people to take part in workshops, events, exhibitions, projects and installations. Originary invites curious adults, children and families to explore their creativity in new and exciting ways, whether through making with their hands, heads and hearts / moving their bodies / sharing stories and ideas / playing together in wild and wondrous ways. We aim to create multi-sensory arts events in collaboration with communities of all ages, shapes and sizes. From poetry to printmaking, paper cutting to puppetry, play to performances.

Nikki is excited to be shaping a new home for her unique creative vision at Originary Arts, founding the company in December 2019/Spring 2020. Previously directing Art Macabre, Nikki hopes that Originary Arts will express her bright and bold outlook on the power of the arts and the joy of creativity even more effectively. Join us in our journey!

Like most creatives, Nikki Shaill wears many different hats. Here are some of them.
