A drop-in free families workshop that will encourage you to doodle, layer up mixed media and play with layers of colour and texture. Draw on acetate to take home your own artwork. Plus paint flowers and waves on a larger scale together on Uniqlo Oxford Street’s glass panels with paint marker pens!
This workshop will take inspiration from Tate Modern’s latest Turbine Hall installation. From 20 July to 26 August 2024, Tate Modern’s Turbine Hall will be transformed by Oscar Murillo’s new installation The flooded garden. Taking inspiration from Claude Monet’s Water Lilies and the garden in which he painted them, visitors will be invited to paint water and waves onto a monumental wall of canvas, creating a layered, collaborative painting of epic proportions.
Come and create your own layered artwork, mark making with pastels, crayon and paint markers on acetate, to take home with you. Inspired by the concepts and techniques of Oscar Murillo and Claude Monet’s Water Lilies artworks.
